Travel during the renewal of stay permit

Hello,
聽 I studying my masters 2nd year in university of siena. My residence permit was expired on 12/10/2019 and i have applied for the renewal and i have all the acknowledgements for the renewal and i have given my fingerprints and waiting for my renewed permit. so my question is i am planning to travel to poland for a trip聽 to 10 days so am i eligible for the travel without the new residence card

I think you'll be fine. Bring some of the renewal docs with you just in case (or images on your phone), your codice fiscale number, etc. You're in the system. I just traveled to Amsterdam, and I'm in the waiting period for my new permesso. Nobody said boo.

Hi. I was wondering i know that theoretically there should not be any passport control, but i am in the same situation and heading to krakow for a few days over new years eve. and i have seen so many other posts that says it is not ok. so now i am a little worried. do you by any chance would know anything about this?
