Does anyone who is there know how easy or difficult it can be to learn French as a fluent English speaker who is new in the country?

Thank you all!

Hello Frank,

And welcome! As a native French speaker, I can't answer specifically to your question 1f643.svg. But in my experience, the difficulty of learning a language depends on many factors and varies greatly from one person to another. For example, if your future colleagues are mostly French, you will probably learn the language much faster than someone who doesn’t have the opportunity to hear it or practice it daily.

In any case, there are many language courses in Luxembourg; you can take French classes for 2 hours a week in your town or take intensive courses at a language school. The frequency of your lessons will also certainly influence the speed at which you learn. Finally, I don’t know your personal situation, but from what I see around me, most people with children learn the country’s languages faster (they’re somewhat forced to adapt to the many languages spoken by their children’s friends… It’s hard to organize a birthday party here without an adult who speaks three languages!).

Do you already have an idea of where you’ll take classes, how often, and the opportunities you’ll have to hear and practice French? I’m eager to hear more!

Hi BRIGHTAKOTUAH,

You can check the job search websites listed at the end of this article. For nurse jobs, you might also want to check the official government platform .

Does this answer your question?

Thank you!

Greetings to all!

Please,  am planning to relocate to Luxembourg from  Nigeria,  in less than a month's time,  and I need someone who is knowledgeable in the subject to share me ideas on which travel insurance to buy, and for how much?

I am travelling alone for now and really want to cut down on expenses, so am looking for a plan that speaks to budget.

Your anticipated answers will be highly valued and appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey Frank,

Regarding your question about travel insurance, I encourage you to start a new topic on this subject, so that people who know about insurances can see it and help you.

Thank you!
