No one here can tell you. Only identita Malta can. Have you tried to contact them?

@SimCityAT

Yes I did.

They only say give our agents time to review your application and note the processing time for a single permit is 2-4 months

Evreham

@Pjay00

The timescale you have been provided with, 2-4 months is correct, therefore it is unrealistic to expect this to be processed after one month.

If you check the Identita webpage it advises the following:

"Employers have the facility to view and modify all submitted applications from the Single Permit Online Portal. The real-time status of an application is visible from the application dashboard. The meaning of each status can be found in the section Online Portal-Status Description within the User Manual.

Third-country nationals, on whose behalf an application is submitted, may also view the status of their own application by following the same link they had received by e-mail.

Subsidiary Legislation 217.17 allows four (4) months for the processing of a Single Permit application, however the average processing time is closer to two (2) months, from the date of submission of applications accompanied by all required documents"

Perhaps you could monitor the status of your application via the link you were sent?

Unfortunately, members of this expat forum will not be able to advise you on this, we all have unique situations regarding our residency status in Malta.

On a seperate note, Have you searched Facebook for the South Africans in Malta group? I have heard from a couple of friends there is quite an active community of South Africans here.

I hope this helps and good luck with your application.
