Maltese language learning

Handeh

Hi Everybody,

quick question, does anybody know where could learn maltease language? Are there some courses where could I participate?

I find some private lessons, but they were way to expensive (28 eur per hour per person) :(

Cheers, Hanna

Hi Handeh,
You like to learn Maltese! ThatÂ’s great!
The University offers Maltese lessons, starting in October, twice a week, have a look at the uni website. Some local councils do offer courses as well.
You could ask in an “English language School” if they offer private Maltese lessons. Don’t know about the prize.
In good bookshops you will find: i.e.
- CDs, World Talk, Talk More, Maltese. Different levels.
- Book, Learn Maltese. Why not? Joseph Vella. And others . . . .
- Dictionary/Dizzjunarju Maltese-Engl., Eng.-Maltese (Colour Image). . And others . . . .

Good luck

Any more questions? Just send me a message.

Hi Tina,

thanks for your response! Do you know could anybody participate to clases in University? Cos I'm not a student anymore. And do they start only on October.. :(

Actually I was walking around yesterday and I found this Intuition Malta language school, and they have maltese for beginners course, it takes 12 weeks, 2 hours per week.

Hi Handeh,
IÂ’m not really sure but I think this is the course I mean:

A course for foreigners, starting in October only as I see it.
Nevertheless there are other courses as well, ask the local council offices.

Hello Hanna,

there are also "maltese for foreigners"-courses offered by the german-maltese circle.
It is based in Valletta and started two tays ago, but perhaps it is still possible to join. I went there from last October till end of this january, we started with something about 15 people and ended with around 5.

Handeh

Thanks for you both!

°Ã¶±ô²õ³¦³ó±ð´³´Ç²Ô²µ, hopefully the course is still in english, my german is quite limited :D Ich spreche nicht deutsch, u know :)

I also found out that if you are member º£½ÇÂÒÂ×/Foreingers in Malta / Feel@home in Facebook, you will get some kind of discount from InTuition language school.

Yes, the course is in english/maltese ;). At the end I was the only German left and also at the begin the majority wasn't german.

Handeh
