Contract duration for Verification Against EU Law

Peaceful Parrot

Hi all! First of all, thank you all for the posts here, everything was very helpful!

I (EU citizen) received an offer to move to Amsterdam with a 9 months contract, to be extended by a 12 month contract after.

My wife (non-EU) should apply for the Verification Against the EU Law. We've been living together already for a year.

The thing is I read somewhere, regarding the financial requirements for the sponsorship, that my contract should have at least 12 months left at time of application. Is this a requirement? Or the 9 month contract with enough salary should be enough to give her the same rights as I'll have?

I will also be going as a High Skilled Migrant, but either way I want to be sure she can apply for it, as she will be getting a Master's and we want to pay the statutory fees as well.

Thanks in advance!
