Formal complaint for Noise from upstairs apartment in Rotterdam

javidjooshesh

Hello,

Maybe not quite a relevant topic for this forum, but I would really appreciate if someone can help. Does anyone know who is best to invlove for legal action or formal complaints against a landlord of a neighbour apartment in order to resolve on-going noise issue coming from their tenants due to BAD insulation and sound proofing? I am hoping this would urge the landlord to insulate their flooring.

Thanks in advance!

I am sorry but you can do nothing about it. Buy some ear plugs.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

There are no noise level laws in the Netherlands, they do it via an Organisation called DUWO; try their website; this will take you straight to it.  How to contact them is on the contact page of that site.

It will take a long time to resolve if your neighbour does not cooperate.

I hope this helps.
