Hva skjer i Tromsø? What to do in Tromsoe ?

HERVER

Hi all!

I've planned to visit Tromsoe next year but I'm not sure whether the city is of great interest or not.

Could you give me some piece of advice?

Tusen takk! Thank you very much in advance :)

It depends almost entirely on what time of year you intend to visit. Nightlife is normally good except for the summer. Northern lights in winter, winter sports. Midnight sun in the summer, concerts.

I think it's great in all seasons, but it depends what you want to do. The winter is beautiful with lots of snow, and great opportunities to watch northern lights, go skiing, ice fishing, dog sledding, a fantastic international film festival (in January)... while in summer you can enjoy the midnight sun, hiking in the mountains, fishing. It's harder if you're not into the outdoors, Tromsø is quite a small city.
In which season do you plan to visit?

HERVER

Well, next summer! Det blir bra, men jeg har også lyst til å dra tilbake til Bergen. Vi skal se :)

Its a university town, and loses considerable activity in the summer. You get the midnight sun though. Try to hit the Døgnvill concert if you like nightlife.

A keen sense of irony.
