Hi Everyone,

I have been applying for the d8 visa for 3months no slots open and I've seen new changes with *expression of interest* and focus on *high skilled immigrants*

how does this affect the d8 visa and insight information will be useful

I'm applying from India but also curious if any other country has the same issues

Not an expert, but I don't think the one has anything to do with the other.

You can research this more effectively on your own behalf if you use the actual term, manifesta莽茫o de interesse.聽 It's what you do when you're hired to work in the country, and can't wait months or years for authorization.聽 Now (or soon) available only for citizens of Portuguese speaking nations (e.g., Brazil.)

All types of visas must be submitted to the Portuguese consulate in your country:

D3 Portugal Visa (Highly Qualified Activity Visa)

D8 Portugal Visa (Digital Nomad Visa)

In India, there are only a limited number of slots available for a given period of time. This issue has already been mentioned here several times:

"Manifesta莽茫o de interesse" is a way of obtaining a residence permit, and it has been abolished for non-Portuguese-speaking countries. So it doesn't apply to your case.
