Need to find out about visa for my grandson

My grandson is 23 y/o & he has been with me since August of 2015, and I am his legal guardian.聽 He is disabled w/autism, high functioning.聽 Would like to find out what kind of VISA, etc. we may need to apply for.聽

I would appreciate any info/direction for us to pursue.聽 Planning on moving mid-2026.

Dear Roxie,

I am a Portuguese-American citizen with an autistic son, HFA age 28. We lived in North Carolina for almost 17 years and, like you, we wanted a quieter life regarding safety, healthcare, and better values. We live now in Albufeira, Algarve for many reasons, but mostly because this is a better place for our son regarding work and language, as everybody here speaks fluent English.

I work in real estate with a lawyer who has a good experience of Visas. I can refer you to her and I personally think this is the best way to start your relocation process.
