Hi to all,

My residence permit expired in March, and, with that, I have to wait until AIMA decides to contact me for renewal. I have made three requests with "we'll contact you shortly" replies. My wife, whose permit had expired a month before mine, was contacted in early August and has already undergone an interview (with fingerprints, etc.). I thought my renewal process would start about a month after hers but, alas, that's not the case. Expired residence permits were extended, by law, first to June 30 and then by October 15, the date that's just around the corner.

Has anyone heard of any new legal extension that may be coming? AIMA is clearly unable to handle its duties and have everyone's permits renewed in time by the October 15 deadline.
