I am new to this site and would like to do a bit of introduction.

I am currently 34 Chinese and was previously base in London for the past 3 years. I just came back to Malaysia for a break. I travel a lot in my last job and have been almost to all European countries and I am fortunately to be able to go to beautiful places like Russia and Ukraine.

After few times going to Russia for work, I like the place but not sure if it's right place to settle down. I find that language is a barrier as not many speak English. I would like to learn Russian but with my hectic traveling schedule it is just not quite possible. I would like to able to communicate  with Russian and I have also spoke with my customers that have been living Russia for the last 20 years which told me about Russian girls. I must say I am impressed and also the whole world or at least most people have the wrong perception towards them.

So after such a lengthy post I actually wanted to know more of Russian culture such as their celebrations, ceremony, wedding custom and so on as well as to learn this language. I am looking for friends here and if you know any website such as vkontakte do share so that it can increase my chance of knowing more Russian friends and who know might lead to a marriage.

As a start I need to learn th language first and I'm not sure Skype is good enough but I can't be going to Russia without a job just to pick up the language. I might go there for work but that is still on pending so I am just trying to get it started first on my own .

Any help will be appreciated.
