Online learning apps

Someone recommended an online learning application to me for learning Spanish. I installed the app on my phone, booked up a trial session and then had the first lesson (and subsequent sessions) via Skype.

I had to say I was sceptical but I've tried it with a couple of tutors now and I find it really good.

The prices are low (in relation to face to face classes).
The timing is very flexible (I've been taking sessions in the earlyish morning (7.30/8.0am) and it hasn't interfered with my day at all. Equally you can find tutors offering classes at midnight or mid afternoon.
You can try a tutor and if you don't like the accent, the style or whatever then you simply don't re-book. There is no hard sell, no need to explain why you're leaving.
You can choose your accent. I've had Spanish (in the sense of from Spain not from Mexico or Uruguay) tutors but I've decided against people with a strong Andaluz or Gallego accent.

I'd better not mention the app here because theses people seem quite strict about links but I'm sure there are several if you look around.

You have to pay for the lessons, no thank you I would never be paying for the lessons because education should be free where ever you are. You can learn Spanish and at the same time the other person can learn better English.

Fair enough. Intercambios - the exchange of language - are a great idea but intercambios are not, usually, lessons in a structured way.
