Charity work / Welfare work / Volunteer work in Sweden

Meelsakkie

Hej to All

It's possible that my inquiry/question has been addressed in the past before I've joined this group. If that's the case, I do apologise. If not, a response from informed people will be appreciated.

We will be moving to Sweden on a long term, permanent basis in August 2020. My husband holds a permanent working contract with a working visa.

According to my research, after 6 months in his permanent role, I will as the spouse, automatically qualify for a working permit, should I be unsuccessful at that point to have landed myself a working opportunity or a permanent contract.

Q:     With reference to the first 6 months period - may I offer my time and service to Swedish charity organisations on a pro-bono basis (no payment)?

Q:      If 'YES', kindly refer me to a digital Link for registered charities / welfare organisations in Sweden to contact in advance.

Thank you for an awaited response.

Hello, As I understand, residence permit is enough to work as a volunteer in Sweden. Nevertheless If you contact following organisations you will know it for sure. Cheers!
