No. Your CPR is on the basis of the resident visa and once that is cancelled, you are no longer eligible to operate bank accounts or enter the country (unless you have a passport that allows for visa on arrival).  Practically, the banks are not directly linked with immigration so your account will remain open till the expiry date of your residency as in the banks record, arrives.

Apply for what use to be called "Flexi visa" right after Visa cancelation.

Flexi visa is no more. And besides, even if it was the same as before, not everyone is eligible for it.

Hello xtang, it's not called flexi anymore. It's called Labour Registration Centers. He can check for elegibility online - BUT AFTER HE CANCEL HIS VISA AND BEFORE HE LEAVES BAHRAIN.

He also can call the flexi call center to check.

I know. What I was saying was, even if he is eligible, it seems like unnecessary cost.
