Hi

Does anyone know the best way (and cheapest) to furnish a home. I have found our home but now need furniture.

Well there are the main malls here and they have a large outlet called Home Centre. I know Bahrain聽 City Centre has a Home Centre outlet.聽 The items sold here are for the home and are brand new and you may like some things for your new place. Worth a check.. Click on this then you can click on the store locator to help you find the closest one to your home.

Alternative, you can check out this classifieds - used items.

A few other places you can check are "Home Store" in Bahrain Mall and the many furniture shops in Khamis, on the highway from Salmaniya junction to Isa Town.

A good bet would be to check out the auction houses... While some of it may be crap, you can find absolute gems there... I found some authentic wooden cabinets and a genuine leather sofa set during my search there.... You do need to be patient however...
