Bahrain residence options for KSA residents

SamBahrain

Hi Forum members,

Apart from property ownership, retirement and Endorsement RP (paper CPR), is there any other option to get Bahrain residence as a KSA Iqama holder?

Quick background. I spent 8 years in Bahrain and then moved to KSA in 2023. Throughout my stay in Bahrain my salary was above the threshold for golden visa. I got few messages from NPRA to apply for golden visa but I never did because of 90 days stay requirements, and i was traveling frequently during those days. And then I moved to KSA last year.

Now I want to have Bahrain residence, for the sole purpose of opening a bank account there as I need it for some trading that i cannot do via my KSA bank accounts.

Any practical and accurate information will be highly appreciated. Thank you!

I think I answered you before on this.

The only other option vs. what you have listed before is the Golden visa for retirees if salary is above 4000 BD.  I know it is called retirees but many people working outside of Bahrain have gotten it.   However, that also comes with a 90 day stay requirement.  And for bank account, you will need a CPR.  For the CPR, you will need an address so you will have to lease a place.

Thanks XTang, appreciate your prompt response. i don’t recall posting this query before.

I fall in the BHD 4,000 (SAR 40K) salary category so I guess there is no harm in trying.

Regarding the address, I will get a rental contract from the same building in Juffair where I stayed for past 8 years.

My previous CPR is still with me and it’s still valid. Will they re-activate the same or give me a new one with a new number?

XTang

Cpr number will remain the same.
