Getting married in Oman

Shanaka

My girlfriend is an expat living in Oman for the past 5 years and I will be there again next month on a tourist visa. We decided to get marry in oman.

Is it possible for us to do this while I am on a tourist visa ? If so, what other requirements must we meet. Both of us non muslims.

I hope you can help. Thank you

Am of the view that your lady should first make inquires from the church where she goes to, explain her desires and queries.Am sure the Heads there have relevant info about matrimonial ceremonies and all. You can both go and meet the priest or Reverend

Hope someone else here will throw more light

Hi Shanaka,

While on a visit, you cannot get married locally.

To get married, the couple must both be a registered residents.
