I am Looking for business opportunities in oman. What are the requirements to apply for investor visa. Is there any change in legislation regarding mandatory local sponsor/partner. I heard legislation on that was now being changed? Is there any min. Capital investment required.

Hi DjoekaH,

Not much has changed in terms of the policies on the process and procedures for expatriates starting a business in the Sultanate.

The requirement of a local partner is mandatory. The capital size would decide on the category of the company, like Grade A, B, C, or Excellent Grade.

Do look at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry website which contains all the needed information.
