Feedback required from Australian º£½ÇÂÒÂ×s

Wakaas

our daughter is in grade 7 in Victoria and doing well in school.

We want to hear from Australian parents in Doha with teens who moved from Australia to Doha how their experience has been with schools.

  1. what school do your kids go to?
  2. how have you found the quality of the school compared to public schools back in Australia?
  3. how much is the annual fee in dirhams or AUD?
  4. how has the transition been academically for the child, from Australian school to private school in Doha

Thanks in advance

@Wilson

Oh no! I didn't mean it to be exclusionary. Its just that Aussies can give a comparison with Australian schools.

Please give you opinion by all means.

Sorry if it came out that way.

Wilson

If i am not wrong then you wont find Australian schools in Qatar. You may find many British and American  accredited Schools and the top listed school is Doha College.

Here the site you will the list of in Doha Qatar

    how have you found the quality of the school compared to public schools back in Australia?

Lit bit different, kids will adjust in few weeks and they will enjoy it.

    how much is the annual fee in dirhams or AUD?

You will find the annual fee and other expense mentioned on the school website.

    how has the transition been academically for the child, from Australian school to private school in Doha

Hi,

You have probably seen this too many times, but I am a graduate from Melbourne looking for an Electrical Engineering role in Qatar. If you know anybody in the sector, please let me know.

Thanks in Advance

@Wilson Thank you very much.

I am aware that there are no Australian schools in Doha, so the target is going to be most likely British I would say. I am not sure but I would think that would be the closest system to Australian system.

I'll go through the link you have provided in detail later.

Were your kids studying in an American or a British system and did they move into the same in Doha? I have heard there is a tendency to load kids with too much stuff and homework in the region. Australian public schools are a bit relaxed.

Hi @Wakaas, how did you go? If you have already moved to Doha, can you share your experience.

I'm expecting to move in September / October and our kids (7 and 10, i.e. 2nd Grade and 4th Grade) and we're currently in Melbourne, Australia.
