Good morning expats! Hope you鈥檙e all doing well

Just wanted to get your views on my job file status, thought it would be better to get feedback from seasoned players.

I have been working for a multinational bank as an Implementation professional for 5+ years and am based in UAE. I received a message on LinkedIn from an HR working for one of the top 4 banks in Doha asking if I鈥檇 be interested in an officer role (Grade 4) which is pretty much the same role I鈥檝e doing in my current job. I said yes and the interview took place a week after which was more like a discussion and lasted 10-15 mins. A week passed by and the same HR sent me an email asking for an HR discussion over a phone call and it went well with them explaining the hiring timeline and documents required from my side. I had shared my docs on the same day and received the Draft Offer in 2 days. I accepted and the HR responded to my email stating now they will forward my file further for managerial approval and provide me with Final Offer once done.

It has been 15 business days so far and I鈥檓 yet to receive the managerial approval confirmation and final offer. Sent a follow up email to the HR 3-4 business days ago and they responded stating we are still waiting for managerial approval and will update you once we receive it. Now my questions are,

1. Does it usually take Tier 1 companies in Qatar more than two weeks of business days for managerial approvals or is this delay could be related to summer holidays where decision makers are off work often?

2. Does receiving a Draft Offer with job grade and all the other details (including salary and benefits) mean they are serious about my file or is this one of 鈥渘ot to be taken seriously鈥� case?

3. The HR is being responsive and haven鈥檛 given me red flags. Makes me think I鈥檓 in hiring pipeline, but I could be wrong. Please feel free to shed some light on this if possible.

TLDR: Got headhunted by a Tier 1 bank鈥檚 HR from Doha. Interview and HR discussion cleared. Draft offer received and accepted. Awaiting managerial approval and final offer, though it鈥檚 been 15 business days now. HR is responsive with their responses via email. Could the delay be related to summer holidays? Or should I be a bit cautious?
