What are the options available when Iqama is expired

santark

Dear All,

Appreciate your response and right information, for the below mentioned situation:

When Iqama is expired and Employer is not renewing it, what are the options available for the Employee,

to transfer the sponsorship to a new employer?

Can this be done without the consent of the Current Employer?

Also if there is a pending Salary due, along with any settlements, how can it be collected, if the employer is not clearing it from their side.

Many thanks in advance.. !

@santark Once Iqama expired at midnight tell your new employer to request transfer in Qiwa and you accept it no need current employers approval. Once accepted the status will be “Pending Transfer in Absher by New

employer” new employer has 14 days to complete the transfer if not

Goodluck

@santark About Settlement you can file a case to HRSD and MOJ once you successfully transferred. Labor office can help you. If you are from Philippines, POLO will help you in filling the case.

@santark :

If you Iqama is not renewed by your current employer, you can make transfer of sponsorship and work permit to new employer without the consent of your current employer. You can approach the Ministry of labor and raise request for transfer through the support of your new employer.

Further through the MHRSD you can raise a case for non receipt of your outstanding / due salary and final benefits against your current employer and they will be enforced by law to make the payment to you accordingly to the verdict.
