Assalamualaikum. I'm a General Dentist from Pakistan. My BDS degree is from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, which consists of a 4-year study period and a 1-year house job. Additionally, I have 2 years of clinical experience post house job in Pakistan. So, basically, I meet every requirement to apply for registration as a General Dentist as far as I know.

However, I have noticed that many people face the issue of having less than a 5-year study period. I sought help through the Tawasul service, and I received a reply stating the same issue that they do not accept degrees with less than a 5-year study period.

Despite this, I attempted to apply through Mumaris Plus, but there is an issue in that my qualification (Bachelor Of Dental Surgery) is not listed under the University Of Health Sciences, Lahore.

So, my questions are:

1- Should I apply for a new qualification to add BDS under the University of Health Sciences, or would it be a waste of time and money?

2- Are there any other ways to get myself registered as a General Dentist aside from pursuing a Master's or specialization?

3- Are there any diploma courses or training programs in Saudi Arabia for international dental graduates that would make us eligible?

I hold an Iqama and live in Riyadh.
