Qiwa direct transfer

Mani Rs

Over the past three years, I have been working with my current employer; however, during this period, I have not signed any active employment contract in qiwa and GOSI, On December 30, 2024, my current employer submitted a new contract via Qiwa, but I did not receive any notification, and the employer also did not inform me. As a result, the contract was automatically cancelled due to no response.

Currently, I hold a valid Iqama and work permit until August 23, 2025 (60 days remaining). However, my current employer’s Commercial Registration (C.R.) license and municipality license have expired.

Now, a new employer is willing to submit a transfer request, but my current employer is refusing to approve the transfer.

Given the following conditions:

I do not have an active employment contract in Qiwa

My current employer’s C.R. and municipality licenses have expired

I hold a valid Iqama and work permit

Am I eligible for a direct transfer without the current employer's consent?

If so, kindly advise on the procedure. Should the new employer initiate the transfer request through Qiwa or Ministry of Labor (MOL)?

I would appreciate your guidance on the proper steps to proceed
