Looking for ESL referrals or contacts, please help!

bgstoddard

Seasons Greetings everyone!

I am currently living in South Korea, but am working on making arrangements for next year, hopefully in the Middle East! I'm keeping my options open at the moment, but primarily searching in Oman, Qatar, UAE and Saudi. I am going through the standard route of applying with tons of recruitment agencies, but I was hoping for something more personal. I have always found better success when being referred to a specific agency, or contact whom people may have had previous success with, or know are looking for incoming teachers. If any of you have any advice, or contacts you may be able to send my way I would be very appreciative!

Kind Regards,
Bart Stoddard

edit: a quick run down of experience
I have a Bachelors degree, two years classroom experience, and a 120 hour TESOL certification. I do realize that this may be on the low end for many organizations, but it also fits with requirements for many others. This is why I am reaching out to different communities to help with establishing some decent contacts in your area!

Howdy Bart,

A sentence or two about your qualifications and experience might help someone determine if you'd potentially be a suitable fit within an organization.

From what I've heard, there are some pretty good ESL/EFL/ESP teaching gigs here in Saudi Arabia. But there seem to be just as many, if not more, grim stories.

If you've got an MA or some recognized TEFL certification with several years' teaching experience, shoot me a PM. I spoke to someone recently who had been looking for 'professional' English teachers (in a vocational ESP setting).
