I am on a business visa in the KSA, and i tried today to get a vaccine for covid but i was refused. I thought the vaccine was mandatory by 1st August for all, but this appears not to be the case. The vaccine is only for Iqama holders it seems. Can someone confirm this is correct? Moreover, can anyone advise how i might access the vaccine under these circumstances? Thanks!

I鈥檝e been turned away from places since Aug 1st.

How does someone know you do not have an iqama?

Some of the places that are extremely clear regarding this change are malls and cinemas.

I have been extremely impressed with the measures taken here since March 2020, but this change was extremely vague.

They wouldn't know you didn't have an Iqama unless you told them.
I told one security guard at a mall that my twalkkalna had not yet been updated with
my vaccine info, and he let me through without question.
It's the usual thing here (sorry to by cynical!), everything tends to be who you know or how you
present yourself unfortunately.
I mentioned I worked for Aramco, that I worked too.
But what I said originally applies. If you are on a visa then the Saudi government assumes you will get vaccinated in your home country once the visa runs out. The mandating of it is for Iqama holders only.

They should allow you. However just to be assured you just send you question to MOH and MOI twitter account and they will answer. Usually they answer within few hours.
