Hi,

I am from Malaysia. Recently applied for a faculty position at KFUPM.

Around a month back the KFUPM interviewed me. After the interview, the department informed me that the university will process my application for hiring, and HR will contact me soon with a formal contract letter.

Now it is almost 5 weeks since I did not receive anything from the university. Is this a normal delay?

If anyone has joined KFUPM in previous years, can you please share your experience, such as after the interview how many weeks the university took for sending the contract letter.

Why don't you ask the university about it?

If there is any delay.

Forget about it and find another job.

I checked with the univ. They are keeping my hope that university will contact soon. I just want to know from candidates of previous years (who have joined kfupm) that how many months they took for processing contract and joining.

Kfupm are notoriously slow at processing job applications.聽 It is just the way it is. I would only advise you not to leave your present job pending joining Kfupm. Wait until the kfupm application is very well advanced b4 doing anything. Just ensure to maintain contact with them throughout the process.

i want to ask you about whether you joined kfupm or not? if yes, how long the process actually was?

I was interviewed in early October this year and still waiting for the contract letter as they told me that HR will cotnact me soon. But now, even after more than 2 months, I am still waiting.
