Tuxedo buying in Riyadh

alpha89

Does anyone know where to buy a custom-tailored tuxedo in Riyadh?

Supposdly, the men's mall doesn't have it...and I've heard of some Batha alleyway tailors, but was hoping for something a little bit more 'legitement'

Thanks.

Sigh ... it's a pity really.

You may want to check out Raymond on Olayya road. They offer custom tailoring. I have had some tailored from there.

Keep in mind, they will do modern computerized template and machine stitching, not the REAL hand sewn quality. It's been 2+ years and I have not found anyone trust worthy.

People have recommended Batha tailors, and there is a chance you MAY find someone ... fingers crossed.

I have some references, I think I will go there some time next week and see what is available.

cheers.

Guys any information on this ... ??

There's got to be at least some decent tailors around.

Did anyone get anywhere with this? Am off to Batta this weekend to try and find somewhere if not...

Try the shops facing Olaya street in Moosa Centre .

If you drive further you will see some good shops on your right that have good tuxedos

Worth a visit.

Perfect, I'll do that thanks

Raymond on Olaya Street....and they will charge you around 1200 SAR and takes about a week I think

Thanks for all of your help. I went to Well done tailors in Batta. The guy there was very helpful and has offered me a range of options from 590 SAR to 800 SAR (Jacket, shirt, tie, trousers and pocketsquare). I went for the fitting yesterday and will get it next week. I'll let you know how I get on.

Great news !

Be sure to please take your GPS/Smart phone along so we all know where the location is.

Do comment if the perspective tailor will do machine stitching or by hand ?

How long does he take to measure you up, and does he look patient enough to make corrections after 1st try ?

best regards

I am sure you find a nice tailor who work for you.
Just keep in mind that ask them to use quality bookram. In my experience, after two to three wash, shirt color will show multiple bubble, which will not go after iron.

Thanks

A friend of mine has been using the same tailor in Batha for years, I just had my DJ (Tux) altered as I have lost weight and he did a great job for a reasonable price.  I will see if I can get a phone number tomorrow.

What's bookram?  And shirts can be bought from clothing stores instead of getting them tailored.  They will last longer, and you have a huge variety to choose from to match your custom suit/tux.

Their number is 4036122 if that helps.

The address is Shamsiya Market, Opp. Batha hotel, Riyadh

The tailor I used in Batha is called Genius you can get Abdullah on 011402279 or 0552009568

It's 'buckram' and not bookram. It's used to stiffen clothes.

I know it's an old post but it's very helpful indeed.
