teenagers
what the hell are teenagers supposed to do in this country its boring no where to go i miss home arggh!!!
Once again, first of all, welcome to the forum, and secondly, chill out.
I'm sorry that you feel that way, but think about it, there are some places where you could have some fun. How about going to the Thomamah, and driving these 4*4 cars, that should let you be like . Also, you can go camping, not in Riyadh, of course. And yeah, there are parks where you can spend sometimes with your family, and gyms, if you're a gym guy.
Good luck,
Ramon,
Hi Willy and welcome to º£½ÇÂÒÂ×!
Talking about teenagers, are you? So this means you're here with your parents. What brought your family to KSA?
Where are you studying? What is your favourite passtime, hobbies?
This will for sure help other forumes to know you better and give you accurate contacts here!
Cheers
Arlette

Our Grandson, 13+ now, enjoys flying model airplanes in the desert on Friday evenings with the rest of the model plane club members who are all very much older to him.

Willy,
Salman is a great guy!  Im sure he can help out with some activities and possibly introduce you to others to have fun with!
Man! Teenagers are like whatever, nothing satisfies them. I think when I get my own teenager son or daughter, I'll just through him or her over bunch of books, and let him or her know how life looks like! lol! I don't think this how it works, though.

Ask me, I have two teenage grandkids,
HELP!
No Ramone - As a parent, when you have teenagers, most times you just need to hang on cause its gonna be a hell of a ride... There isnt much you can do at this point. They are already molded into who they're going to become, morales, manners, integrity, work ethic, positive or negative outlook on life, etc.  Sometimes when you look at them its pretty scary - but there is hope and everyone (parents included) survives!Â
They become human again, at about 20+ and its wonderful!  LOL

Ramon,
mmmm... i remember seeing a video from youtube (a saudi friend send me the link)... a saudi man threw his baby on the swimming pool..he let his baby swimmed by himself...the baby cried alot... and when the baby placed his hand in the poolside..the man lifted the baby's hand and threw it again...at the and of the video, the man took his baby out of the pool...
But isnt that too much for a baby...
And they took video of it...
^ Actually that is an old-time method of teaching an infant to swim. I hadn't heard of any Saudis practicing the method but am aware of many in the West that have learned to swim this way.
Too much? The baby learned to swim, didn't he?
Now, before you outraged parents chime in...remember, parenting is a personal thing. Many "wonderful" parents over the millenia have used this method to teach their kids to "sink or swim".

if you just see the video..you'll know the intent of the man based on his reactions... they are laughing around while they are watching the baby sink or float...even the baby sink..they are just looking at the baby on what will the baby do...btw the man is "outside the pool not inside the pool with the baby"..he is standing on the side while he is watching his baby sinking or floating...
i wish that you are right and he was aware of that method and not just playing around on his baby...
Hi Willy,
Welcome to KSA and the Forum. I really have no idea what teenagers should do, I bet this Forum can help you spent quality time during your holidays in Riyadh. Lucky you atleast you have family here. Don't you have sibblings to play with?
Do you play pool, snooker, bowling. If yes let me know i will give you the address where you can hangout and spend good time and make new friends out there.

We used to play Cricket, Table Tennis (ping-pong), hit the movies once a week, jog on the beach, bicycle through the streets, read books, listen to the radio, climb trees, fly kites, ad stuff like that during our early pre-teen and teen years.

And if he could he still would, esp the climbing of trees. I love doing that too.
