Engineer Visa nightmare

Hi,

I just arrived Saudi 2-3 weeks ago on an engineer visa. The HR person in my company told me to download and fill up the form from SCE website.
Now, when i went to the site, there was nothing to download; I just went on with the instructions and submitted the form. To my surprise, i got the reference number of application that i just submitted alongwith the message that they will sms/email me when its verified.
It all happened almost a week ago. Since, i was just casually filling up the application (i thought, i would atleast get an oppurtunity to have a copy of the submitted application), i dont remember exactly if i gave the right cell number (as they need the cell number in a particular format).
So, to conclude, i am waiting for any response from SCE for a week and dont know how to follow up. I call their number 014505777 and either get a busy tone or no one picks up.

Anyone who has gone through this online/new process, please provide the guidance? Unless this is done, i cant get the iqama which means no family, no car rentals, no apartment and no going out of saudi . Will really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Thanks; i have tried the search but could not find the answers. I dont think anyone who has gone through this new online process has posted his/her experience.

Hi Mirjuni!! Welcome on board man

well as far as i know,the registration is only for Iqama holders who have Engineer's profession mentioned on their iqama's. So if you dont have iqama yet,apply for it first. You need to confirm it from your company as im not sure about it.

Hi Xain,

Well, it is now needed for getting the iqama as well. So, i cant get the iqama till i register in SCE.
Another update is that one of my egyptian colleagues filled up the form yesterday and he got the sms/email to go ahead and pay the fee. Whereas am waiting for more than a week now.
Basically, need to know how to follow this up with SCE; paying visit to their office is of any use?

I think the easiest way is to visit STc personally and contact some one, who can help you.

actually got to the SEC office directly.. tell them your problems. and take the reference no. as well as your degree certificate..

ANd yeah take somebody who can speak arabic.. else it will become a rel drag!

Hi

I am having 4 yrs degree in chemical engineering and I have Engineer visa.

But presently i am working as " Lead operator" in one of the refinery in saudi arabia.

Can any one share their experience how to register SCE if you job title and iqama title are different. My iqama will be renewed or not??
