In our family each (3 offspring) inherited $NZ 25M, back in 2003. Two decided to carry on working as usual and are happy living this way. The third, he quit his job, New Zealand and now lives on the Gold Coast in Australia.

He was not worked for nearly 10 years,instead he goes fishing, swims, etc. and is actually bored with life to the point that he started smoking pot, has grown a long beard and buys women for pleasure. The reason why I share such personal information is because a lot of cash does not guarantee happiness.

He is unhappy at his life choice and because he is so addicted to weed it has become a vicious circle to get out of. The other 2 are happy, work hard and give thanks for being blessed with extra cash that is not abused in anyway.

There is a purpose and fortitude in one's character when getting up and going to work every day, with sandwiches and some fruit. When a work mate is concerned that you don't spend money at the cafeteria because they think you are poor it gives comfort to know there is a healthy stash invested on the side. Meanwhile it is best to carry on, smile, get up go to work, take my sandwiches and just smile if someone thinks you are too poor to buy your lunch.

It is the little things that make one happy. Not 25M or 1M...it is the sunset, a smile of the face of babies, hugs, yummy shared food, and candles at dinner, horse riding, hearing my mother's voice, playing the piano, watching children learn or seeing my hard working partner smile as he is sleepingÂ…..priceless.
