Month and a half in Riyadh

I'm an American and I'll be in Riyadh for a month and half starting in a week.

I'll be staying in a furnished apartment and working with a small company, where I'll be probably the only expat around most of the time.聽 I'll be located between Faisaliah Tower and the Kingdom Center.

I'm trying to figure out what I will do in my spare time, since I really don't know anyone and won't be around expats in my work and living situation.

Any advice on how I can meet people or make my time there more fun?聽 Shopping by myself seems like it can only entertain me for so long.

unlike all the regular expats, you will be getting first hand experience with locals. something that others dont normally get a chance at.
trust me, if you find fun guys at your work place, you might not have enough time for your self. you might end up flying through your month1/2 without noticing.

try the networking for saudi arabia, you might find interesting things to do with others you find interesting.

there are alot of things you could be doing while here. depends on what you like doing.
