What Turkey needs from expats?

cdw057

I am a bit disappointed with posts complaining 100 EUR here and there. Syrian refugees would be happy to have even EUR 500 pm.

For expats from the UK/Germany/....

Turkey is getting more expensive (true), in a way that is also good.

Poor Germans (many YouTube post), complain and some go back collect social security, I feel sorry for their situationm but that the way it is.

So many Russians leaving (too expensive), but also pensioners from Western Europe.

Turkey does not need expats who spend almost nothing.

I am so sad to see that people consider Turkey as a poor country, wonderful country, good infrastructure (where we live), but locals do not love people who do not spend (but nowadays you have to pay).

Where do you think the money comes from when not even Western retirees can afford? From Santa in your cloud-cuckoo-land? I have lived 2 wonderful years in beautiful Turkiye recently together with my wife, but we made it off to another country, after inflation rose dramatically & bureaucrats went crazy.

Thinking about it with mixed feelings, sad about a wonderful country.

True things are much more expensive (we also feel this), but Turkey reamains great, even if more expensive than for example Hungary (all these increases of minimum salaries in Turkey drive many honest business owners crazy).

Nevertheless (I made many posts) Turkey has its pluses as well (and some minuses).

For now we can try to stay here (Ikamet challenges).

The situation in Turkey is not simple. No one denies it. But those who remain are full of hope that everything will be fixed. I believe that the root of the price increase is, first of all, the illogical constant increase in wages.

°Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð offers many desirable and beneficial aspects to living offering a good quality of life.  I’m not sure how comparative it is to other countries considered as desirable such as the SouthEast Asia nations or the Slavic nations, but °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð is known for its warm hospitable people, rich food, beautiful landscapes and unfortunately its ever growing cost of living.  I’m not sure what economic factors are causing this but its cost of living still remains relatively affordable.
