I have been thinking about on a project for expat community in İstanbul. And I would love to hear from your point of view.
What are the problems you faced with in Turkey for health issue?
What kind of service/ system would be better serve for you?
What would you suggest others? And what about your insurances? Any trouble did you face with in?
I am looking forward to hearing back!
Kind regards,

Hi there,

The main concern re health insurance in Turkey is that unless the rules have changed yet again, all resident expats in Turkey must have health insurance. I understand that some nationalities are covered from their own countries. also if you are over the age of 60- 65 no insurance company here will insure you. that is unless you had a current policy with them before reaching this age.

I personnely have not had any problems in using my health policy, although since requiring hospital treatment a year ago my policy cost has doubled. I am I must point out however, I am 73 years old.

Best regards
