How can apply familyvisa for wife who is unfit medical for employ-visa

Sky87

My wife got medical unfit for her employment visa recently and she will need to leave from UAE next week. We are recently moved to UAE (in July 2024) and very new to here.

I am eligible to apply Family Visa for her. Could anyone advise me how could I lift the ban and apply family visa for her after she left from UAE next week. Please guide me the require procedure and process duration. One year old baby girl is with me now and we will be in trouble if mother can't come back here. Thanks, all.

what is the reason for Medical Unfit. Is it due past TB scar?

Sky87

Yes, due to old TB scar

My wife also has the same issue, but in my case i am trying for dependent visa, Please let me know if you have any updates as I don't see any recent updates for dependent visa

@Sky87 if this was through DHA, try for an exemption in Garhoud Medical Fitness center with the Medical Secretary. They will help you out to file for an exemption and get dependent visa.

Hi, sorry to hear about your situation. Don’t worry, you can apply for a family visa for your wife even after she leaves the UAE. Here's what you can do:

Check the Ban: Visit a GDRFA (or ICA) office to understand if the medical unfitness ban can be lifted for a family visa. Family visas usually have different rules compared to employment visas.

Apply for the Family Visa: Once she exits the UAE, gather all the required documents like your marriage certificate (attested), your Emirates ID, your residence visa, and her passport copy. Submit these to the relevant authority.

Seek Help: It’s a good idea to visit a Tasheel or Amer center for guidance on the process and timeline. They can also help you with lifting the ban if needed.

Temporary Solution: While waiting, you could have her stay in a nearby country, like Oman, until the visa is ready.

I hope this helps.
