Victims of fraud.need help

bollicina3

Hello everyone i got scammed together with my sons by a person who writes here in expat.com

His nickname is craig pawson and he is putting posts to recruit people for a supposes job in canada for Chelsea hotel in toronto.

We exchanged different emails and we felt convinced of the steps to do before reaching canada to work (we are still in mexico now).

Since we do need to work, really really really really in need now, we accepted the offer and sent all the requested documents, birth certificates, driving license, passport and answered to several questions he asked in the emails.

Yesterday we were waiting for instructions but woke up with a strange feeling, so i personally called the hotel in Toronto and asked more infos about the job. They told me (and repeated this in an email from their real manager) that this is a scam and to stay away from this person.

Now i am afraid maybe he took part in a criminal organization and has all our infos datas and documents... What should i do? I want to tell this also here to the admins  of expat.com because it s here that we first found his false job offer.

Greetings

Lara

Scammers often claim to be legitimate businesses, even to the point of creating fake sites that look very real on the surface.

The real hotel is a victim as well.

As for your documents, inform your bank as you are now open to identity theft.

If you sent any money, it's lost
