Entry denial

PhionahPaul

Hello everyone, a friend of mine was denied entry into Mexico because the immigration claimed that she had no accommodation. Is it possible to re-enter Mexico next time, or will she face the same consequences.

Welcome to expat Phionah,

How was your friend trying to enter ? What sort of visa did she have ? Did she go to the embassy or counsel in her country for information on the process ?

Everything was okay. She followed all the procedures. They claimed that she had no accommodation which she had, I don't know why they had to do that. Was wondering if she will not go through that face the next time.

So Phionah,

The requirements are dependent on what type of visa your friend is seeking. What is she trying to do? become a resident, visit, work in Mexico, or what?  You say "accommodation" does she think someone is supposed to sponsor her? Or is that about proof that she has an address in Mexico?
