Temporary Supplement for Medicare

rxcats

I am a recently retired American citizen that will be moving to Hungary next year. I have Medicare in the US. My employer pays my part B premium and part of my supplement as a retirement benefit. Obviously, I will keep my Medicare A and B even though I will be living abroad as they are not costing me anything and I will come to the US periodically for visits. My concern is that I may be eventually forced to give up my part B and D supplements as I won't be living here. Does anyone have experience with temporary supplements to Medicare? Something that works as secondary coverage to Medicare A & B? It doesn't seem reasonable that I would need to pay for full traveler's insurance when Medicare would cover the bulk of any medical expenses that I might have while visiting in the States. I will have a totally separate medical insurance coverage in Hungary as Medicare works only in the US.
