College and work in Australia

Realism51

Hello everyone. I am an American who is serious about moving to Australia. Here in the US I am currently in college getting my B.S. Psychology. I will be going to medical school to obtain a degree in medicine. I have heard that US Doctors of Osteopathic medicine are recognized in Australia, however I also hear that medical schools in Australia are some of the best in the world. Would it be better to pursue my current course and obtain a degree here in the US or would it be better to attend college in Australia.

I have a family of four to consider as well.

I would finish your degree first then look for work here.

If you come over to finish your degree here you will get a student visa which only allows you to work part time, approx 20 hours per week.

You would not be able to support a family on that. The average wage earner here has a hard enough time supporting a family with a full time job.
