Hi

i got a offer form PNG LNG firm around US$ 40,000, please someone help me about the cost of living in PNG and i'm planning to move alone Also my company pay for apartment,car with fuel,air ticket medical.

Please advice me about cost of living,medical facilities and security. Also above salary come under the pay scale for expact working in an Oil and gas company.

HI Rahul

All this depends on where you will be based. If you are based on the LNG site, well you have nowhere to spend your money. If you are in Lae or POM you will have oportunity to spend. The cost of living is comparable to a western country or more expensive. So expect to spend about K250 per week on food. Does your company pay electricity? if not allow K200 month if the apartment is in good order. What about water? A salary of USD$ 40K is low by expat standards but that depends on your skill level and experience.

Hi,
I am moving to POM in the month of Jan 2012, company is providing me the accomodation, my office is going to be in Badili which is the safe place to stay around where there are some expats live.
Is there an Indian Society which is formed there.
Please advice
