Brazil is a monolingual Portuguese-speaking country, so you should definitely pick up as much conversational Portuguese as you can prior to your arrival.

In considering a service, be sure to do your due diligence.聽 There used to be several scams out there, although many of them are now low-profile and may have closed up during the pandemic.
