Health insurance

Can someone explain what options I'll have when I first move to Columbia from the US? I want a good policy, not the basic EPS policy. I'm 67 and in good health. From what I've read, at my age, any policy other than EPS would be difficult to obtain. Thanks.

At your age even getting an EPS membership may be very hard.

And learn to spell Colombia before you even think of moving...

Spell check screwed up "Columbia." My profuse apologies.

Does anyone know of an English speaking health insurance agent they can recommend?

Thanks.

I think that you should specify the location, since health services vary widely from place to place, even within a city.

I'm still in the US with plans to relocate to Medellin in a couple of months, not sure where I'll end up. At this point, I'd just like to communicate with an insurance agent to find out my options.
Thanks.

Hi gsusser
If you get your 3 year Immigrant cedula as a qualified pensioner the medical insurance is mandatory. I pay 34 dollars US a month.
