Pensioner Visa.

Napu52

Could anyone tell me how much it would cost to obtain a Pensioner Residency Visa 9-1 for Ecuador?  I will be retiring this year from work which provides me with a pension over $1,000 per month.  My wife and I are looking into moving to Cuenca, Ecuador in November 2012. We are born in Canada and now live in Edmonton, Alberta. Could you please refer me to a trustworthy professional who could help us with getting all of our visa papers in order before moving to Ecuador.

Hello
It is very interesting to hear of another Canadian who is considering taking up residency in Ecuador.  We spent 3 months last year in Ecuador.  One month in Quito, one month travelling from north to south and one month in Cuenca.  Like yourselves we are considering returning in Nov 2012 to Cuenca to commence the pensioner residency process.
We live just outside of Edmonton on the East side and if you are interested in meeting over a coffee we would love to do so..

Take care and have fun

Hi Calvin & Louise,
Wow, it's amazing to hear from you and to realize that you are also considering moving to Cuenca and getting your pensioner residency process.  We will need to set up a meeting to exchange some information on how to maximize our knowledge for a smooth transition from Canada to Ecuador.

Hi Cal & Lousie,

You should avoid putting your phone number or your email address on a public forum. You could use the private message system. ;)

Hello to both of you,

My wife and I are going to Salinas for a few weeks in April.  Planning to move for good in September of this year.  Right now, it's still just a whole lot of information we're trying to digest and make sense of.

Our main concerns right now are :
1. residency visa process (we intend to contact the consulate here in Montreal after our trip in April)

Moving : do we sell everything and go "light" or do we ship a container (that seems more complex than residency so far!)

Where to stay:  We want the coast, but the coast has many lovely cities.  We plan on renting for a year while we visit along the coast and identify where we want to buy/build.

If you want, we could send each other information (like real official info once we've done or learned something concrete and useful) via email.

Hello everyone I am new here and planning on moving to Ecuador soon and I am trying to understand the visa process, I believe I need to go to the Ecuador consulate with a completed visa application, and the following documents with an "apostle" on the police record, birth certificate, and proof of how much I receive from social security to apply for the pensioner visa as well as $350 and then the rest would be handled in Ecuador is this correct? If so can someone tell me where to download the visa application and also what other documents would be needed once I relocate to Ecuador. Any help in this process would be greatly appreciated Thank you Loren & I hope everyone is having a great day!
