Leather Conditioner (where to buy)

vsimple

I'm having no luck finding leather conditioner in Quito. I went to Supermaxi, Megamaxi, the supermarket in Quicentro, and also looked at shoe stores there, i.e. Clarks, but no one has it. I even tried looking online on Mercado Libre, but the search for Leather Conditioner (acondicionador de cuero) returns with a listing of used cars for sale.  :/

The local stables probably use this product.

Google:  horse riding Quito Ecuador .. to locate some places.

Ride a “caballo” for an hour while you’re at it.

Guys thanks for the advice. Went around and was directed to a hardware store (ferreteria), which only had a leather cleaner, then decided to try Kywi, and Bingo, found a leather conditioner and protector (Cuero Acondicionador y Protector) made by Binner. I was hoping to find Honey Leather, but this will suffice.

ccc, you got me thinking horses, can you recommend a place to ride horse within Quito, or not too far from the center.

I recall recommending Green Horse Ranch outside Quito, whose horseback tours typically take one around an extinct volcanic crater.

You won’t find dude ranches inside the city limits .. and probably won't find a place where you can ride a horse for 45 minutes and then back in the stable.

The more typical offering is a half-day ride in countryside outside Quito’s city limits.

If you google Horseback Ride Quito, you’ll bring up the Green Horse Ranch and other places offering these tours in areas near Quito.

I personally don’t like to be on horseback for more than half an hour at a time, so I can’t recommend any of the horse haciendas from personal experience.
