Insecurity in Cameroon: caution recommended

Hello everyone,

For security reasons, foreign nationals living in Cameroon are highly advised to be cautious when moving around the country and to pay strict attention to security guidelines.

Due to several suicide bombings around the border, several areas have been marked as danger zones. You are therefore advised to avoid remote regions, especially in the the Far North region and the Mayo Louti department (North).

Caution is also recommended in the major cities, namely Douala and Yaounde. Stay away from mass human gatherings. You are also advised to be in possession of your identity documents when moving around the country due to increased control.
