cost of white goods/furniture

Hey,

since it looks easier to find unfurnished flat than furnished one I was wondering how much does it cost to furnish one bedroom flat? Ie. bed, sofa/sofabed, dining table, cooker, fridge... Is it possible to find second hand furniture and/or white goods?

hi

Furniture costs from between 25,000- 100,000 and above depending on whether you buy from local furniture dealers or the supermarkets etc.
White goods fridge - 25,000- 40,000
Cooker about the same as fridge depending on brands
TV 15,000 for a regular tv flat screen Ksh 25,000 and above.

Second hand furniture depends on luck, if you find something good.聽 The above is for new furniture, so second hand will vary.

Beds range from Ksh 10,00- 20,000 but you can get them cheaper from local furniture dealers, but you have to learn to bargain with them otherwise they will charge you the tourist price which can be twice as much.

Hi, you will frequently find furniture and white goods advertised on the notice board at Sarit Centre, Village Market etc.聽 Also in the 海角乱伦 Link magazine.
