Can someone please tell me about the main shopping centres, clubs, bookstores for English books, swimming pools, fitness rooms,  dancing clubs, international restaurants, malls, theatres, museums, services offered to foreigners here in Tripoli, cultural groups, networking groups, horse riding?

Many thanks

Julien

Nice blog!

this one is for Ediman if it can be of help, although you should start a blog as mentioned above.  options are limited and sometimes not up to standard in most fields unfortunately.
1. there is one foreign book shop, 1st of september street, Furgiani book store opposite Galleria DeBono.
2. the closest thing to a shopping mall is the Mehari "supermarket", Souk Al-talat mall ( opposite the big round about coming from gergaresh.
3. Sultan gym on Gourgi road has a an expat gym, and very nice too.
4.international restaurants just about anywhere, actually there are plenty, pricey but good quality, some with real italian cooks.
5. there are a few horse riding clubs, but in most cases you must own your horse.

I read KhadijaTeri - she offers a great glimpse into Libyan life.
