Live and let live....... they eat the mosquitoes and cause no one any harm.............bar the gekko poo unfortunately

Melissa346

Hello,

They do make a lot of noises though.

Rosiewestie

Noises and some poo is a small price to pay for having an almost mozzie and flying bug free house.

Gecko's are just doing their job which is what nature intended them to do :)

Yes we have a few too :)

Used to scare the pants off us - the sheer size!

But local people have told us they do not harm, eat bugs and they run away very quickly! when approached - so now we leave them and we have a resident one in our downstairs loo called Fred :)

However if there is ever one in our bedroom, then we do catch it and put it outside :)

We don't seem to,get any spiders in our house maybe because we have lot's of gecko's.  Gecko's are our friends, they do eat the mozzies and moths too, I also once saw a gecko chase and kill a scorpion, that is when I knew they are our friends.  The poop is annoying but I leave them be in our house.

Like Jude we hardly ever get any spiders - never ever seen any biggies just the odd tiny ones.
We do have geckos though - they do a good job IMO! :)

re the gecko solution stuff - we don't want to kill them - just make them go somewhere else! Post was intended for people like us who have bought/renovated old props and like open windows and doors - daytime - and not air con - gets a bit old cleaning the poop off skirting boards etc  - and when you have been here long enough one gets used to the routine of checking the junction boxes one by one to find the cause of clipsal failure - a fried body or nest of eggs - we put them in the garden when we catch them. xx

Lol :)

And I bet they come right back in as soon as your back is turned :)
