EXPAT MEET UP MARCH 2010
well i m pretty sure if there is no sense of planning and coordination people do end up getting salads Mr no..MAD....
Well I don't really know what you can do else as bring meat for the BBQ and the easiest really is salads to accompany on a warm sunny day... couldn't do white beans in tomato sauce or "grande cuisine". But we won't prepare all the same salad, no?
Me and Muteen will bring pancakes for dessert; Sekoia is preparing a cake I believe.
What the meat concerns, I don't know yet: depends what I find in the store...
Hi Arlette, its only me.
Looking forward to meet you!
Hey guys, well honestly I am not for the big planning thing. Its gonna be a chill out event so bring what you want. The most important thing is to have a good time!!! I really need that at the moment after what I have been through the last days so NO STRESS.
I agree with Mel and Christina guys, this is a no stress event.
Bring what you want to eat & drink and don't forget your sunglasses
Feel free to invite your friends, they are very welcome !
By the way, I hope a few Mauritians friends will join us
Julien, Veruska, Feeacer and Pbrough, please confirm that you ate bringing your barbecues. Can anyone else bring a barbecue ?
I'll bring mine, no prob
I confirm that I have 2 small BBQ's and 3 large bags of charcoal

At what time shall we be there?we are from Rose-Hill,I think it would be better to bring some gajacks and some drinks, but for this we must know approximately the number of persons who will be there.

Hey guys,
just a quick recap. It will be a bring and share event, so basically everyone brings his/her own food/drinks. Feel free if you want to bring some gadjacks, crips, cake etc... to share with everyone.
Don't forget, your plates, cutleries, glasses, bin bags.

Feeacer, I was gping to bake a pie but I am not really in the baking mood these days so I suggest taking care of the ice. How much do you reckon ?
Hi All count me and my wife in!
Might need some further directions as new (3 days and counting) and in the deep South.
Howard
Hi Howard, welcome to Mauritius!!! I actually studied in Exeter! Any changes you can bring some clotted cream ??? just kidding!! Ok I will send you a message for directions.

I just don't know, depends on the type of container we might have to put the drinks in.
One of my friends on the french forum has a barrel of 50 liters but don't know how to bring it to the beach (she has no car and I don't know if I will be able to put it in the trunk of our car as we will have the BBQ's etc...)
If anybody coming to the BBQ is passing by Trou aux Biches, he or she could maybe take it in their car????
No problem FeeAcer, I'm just around the corner. If you want to send me address details in a PM I'll drop by before I head to the beach.

Ok guys we should be around 50 it seems.
Julien I was wondering whether it would not be a better idea to fix the meeting (I mean meeting point at 12 pm)on the football field of Mont Choisy ?
Hi there ,
can someone send me on my inbox the map of the place.. just in case i will pop in lately and a mobile number where I can confirm if the party is still on.
Thank you
Veruska, no problem, I ll send you a google map of the place and my mobile number latest tomorrow.
Take care
sorry guys, I receive too many emails these days it's very complicated for me to reply to everybody...
Melissa, I'll bring that huge green º£½ÇÂÒÂ× "board" everybody should be able to locate us
I also thought about something: why not put our names on our T-shirt (sticker or something like that) as many of us don't know each other and many don't have their picture on their profile???? Maybe stupid but maybe not!
