Internet Speeds

Hi,

I've seen mixed reports about internet speed in Mauritius.
I'm thinking of coming over on a PV but need good access to internet whilst I'm there.
How is the fixed line / cable network?
Does anyone have any recent stats?
Last discussion I can find on the forum was some time ago.

Generally good. Fibre Connection available mostly everywhere and you can have different packages from 20mb up to 100mb download. Sometimes there are dropouts. Mauritius telecom and myt are the best options i think and are normally very responsive to faults,installations etc. Speed tests on my line聽 normally report back the correct speeds sometimes even slightly better. Dont know who they are letting in at present with the Current lockdown. Hope that helps
