Hope find you will Fred, and thank you  for the quick response. I apologize for not being clear in my letter, as I do not intend to build a villa in Indonesia.
I will explain to you, I visited Bali in the year 2014, I loved Indonesian design for the villas. I have a land in my country I want to build it in the Indonesian style, so I am looking for an engineer to map and design the villa, In addition, I try to ship many building requirements such as bamboo wood for example From there.
So I want someone to help me find engineer to build the villa.
I know this will require me to fly to Indonesia, I am ready once flights open.

Sincerely
Nadia

Hi Nadia,

When I built my home, I used a Balinese firm to design a Balinese style villa and paid about Rp20 million for the detailed plans and used local contractors to realize the project in Java.

However, when you start talking about bamboo then maybe you can be a little more specific in what kind of villa you are after. My own home is made of brick but in a modern Balinese Villa style. In Indonesia you can build essentially wooden homes and have the whole thing number coded and shipped to anywhere. As an example, there is a large two story wooden house made from old Indonesian rustic teak wood that my wife stayed at with about 12 of her university friends. The owner of this house bought it in Medan in Sumatra and had it transported to Java where the manufacturers team installed it. I don't have the contact for that supplier but I recall that the price of the house was quite reasonable. Is this the kind of thing you are interested in or are you looking for those smallish bamboo huts that some people like to import? I used to buy bamboo gazebo's for a hotel in the Caribbean a long time ago but the companies that build them also make huts and small houses can be bought in Bali and easily exported overseas. I'm actually out of that business for a long time but it isn't difficult to find suppliers that do that kind of thing.

Well Nina, about all I can say publicly is that if you want the guy that did all of Sir Richard Branson's designs for Necker Island, then you can send me a private message and we can go from there.

He's my brother in law, and while I haven't asked him if he's willing to take on another project right now, I suspect the idea will not be unappealing.

Whatever goes down, good luck...but forget about bamboo, or an alang alang roof.  You'd only be throwing your money away, IF local building codes would even allow it.
